We proudly produce wines exclusively from our own vineyards, located in the renowned Bekaa Valley. Spanning a total surface of 22 hectares, our vineyards are immersed in the unique terroir that characterizes this exceptional wine region. The Bekaa Valley experiences a distinct climate, with dry and hot summers accompanied by cool temperatures at night, while winters bring rainfall and even snow.
Within the Bekaa Valley, we cultivate grapes in three major terroirs, each contributing to the diversity and quality of our wines.
Kefraya is synonymous with the most emblematic red grapes of the Bekaa Valley. Its exceptional sun exposure, combined with clayey limestone soils and calcareous bedrock, provides an ideal environment for our red wine production. The bush vines in Kefraya benefit from the amazing ripeness achieved in this terroir, enhanced by the freshness imparted by the altitude (1100 m) and cool nights of the summer.
At Coteaux du Liban, we celebrate the distinct qualities of each terroir within the Bekaa Valley, carefully cultivating grapes that thrive in their specific environments. This allows us to craft wines that embody the true essence of this remarkable wine region, reflecting the unique characteristics of Zahleh, Ferzol, and Kefraya in every bottle.
We are deeply committed to unlocking the full potential of our vineyards in the Bekaa Valley. Our team has undertaken extensive soil and terroir studies, employing various scientific methodologies to understand terroirs and their unique qualities. Through meticulous soil analysis, vertical soil profiles, comprehensive climate studies, and fermentation experiments we have gained invaluable insights into our vineyards' terroir.
